Vadito is a census-designated place in Taos County, New Mexico, United States. It is on the scenic High Road to Taos. The population was 270 at the 2010 census.Vadito is located at 36°11′26″N 105°40′8″W / 36.19056°N 105.66889°W / 36.19056; -105.66889.According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.9 square mile, all land.As of the census of 2010, there were 270 people, 108 households, and 74 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 300.0 people per square mile. There were 133 housing units at an average density of 147.8 per square mile. The racial makeup of the CDP was 60.0% White, 0.7% Native American, 28.5% from other races, and 10.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 92.2% of the population.There were 108 households out of which 31.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.2% were married couples living together, 15.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.5% were non-families.
